My first call out as a marine mammal medic was to a Risso’s Dolphin today! It was so surreal, we successfully re-floated him so fingers crossed he won’t strand again!

How does my Diversity lecturer expect us to know all of the phylums AND down to class?! She is insane. I don’t want to revise. I want to be either snuggling or adventuring with my bubba.

Also the cats keep bringing me presents. Yesterday a baby rat, today a half eaten mouse. I think they’ve missed me.

So my Animal Behaviour exam is done. Only three more to go. I’ve been so unorganised with revising, I have motivation but I just want to be at home. I collected an Eko Ranger VI for my boyfriends birthday today - I hope he likes it! Being at home last week was so perfect. The temperature got up to 25 degrees and so I went in the sea 5 days in a row! And I evened tanned?! That never happens. Im home again on friday and working lots next week. First time I get to run the Wildlife Hospital on my own on saturday! Scary stuff but exciting :)

Last week we also had to rescue a golden retriever from a ditch, he was so adorable >.< And I got another polaroid camera and an old typewriter from a car boot! It was a good day :)

I had an AWESOME weekend. On friday somehow I managed to win an iPad from a Student Union competition and my lovely boyfriend took me out for dinner. On saturday I checked bat boxes in Dartington (we didn’t find any but hopefully they will have inhabited them by next time!) I worked in the afternoon, I absolutely love doing all the farm activities with children. Then on sunday I attended a Marine Mass Stranding practise by British Divers Marine Life Rescue in Exmouth which was filmed by the BBC (it will be on the programme Coast next year) it was so tiring but so much fun!

Today consists of intense revision and paddle boarding and also taking my car to the garage - I hope they can fix her asap! & then next weekend I shall be representing Devon Wildlife Centre at a vets open day!

Gosh I love my life :)
